Macquarie International Motor Yachts is currently providing design and construction management of a prototype Fast Interceptor Craft (FIC) in Malaysia. This Macquarie International design is based on the successful INTERNATIONAL 60 "Carrera" hull which proved ideal for applications requiring a combination of high speed and superior ride quality in rough water. |

The prototype FIC will be evaluated by several Malaysian Government Law Enforcement Agencies, including the Royal Malaysian Navy and Customs, with the aim of building a fleet of vessels for high-speed interception and surveillance. The prototype FIC commenced trials in May 2001. |
